"Our Mission is to promote quilting education through speakers and workshops; to support our community through charity; and to encourage friendships and fellowship among our members."
Friendship/fellowship is a part of every event and activity. However, there are some that particularly focus in this area:
Stash Bazaars
In the fall and spring CCQ host bazaars are fun public events! Members rent tables and sell their “extra” fabric, tool, and stash items for unbelievably low prices! It's a great way to turn those tired "stash" fabric and items into new fabric and quilting toys. The public setting provides an opportunity to show others what it means to quilt and be part of an active, fun guild.
Each fall and spring we offer a retreat to our members. Retreats are a time for members to quilt “without distraction” if they so choose. Each retreat also offers a variety of classes, activities, and field trips for attendees. Housing and food is great! A retreat is a wonderful way to “getaway from it all” and be with like-minded friends in a beautiful setting. Hospitality
This committee has the responsibility to setup for General Meetings. They assign members to bring treats and serve them during the social hour preceding the meeting. What better way to meet most of the guild members than to feed them? They also take care of clean up when we finish.
General Meetings
During Social Hour there are many activies available as well as time to visit with all your friends ... and meet some new ones.
